Medical Examiner's report released in Aaron Doty murder | News
Sebring, Florida-- The District 10 Medical Examiner released the cause of death in the brutal murder of 20-year-old Aaron Doty from June of this year.
Doty's burned body was found in the Sun 'N Lakes subdivision in Sebring on Monday, June 11.
Autopsy findings now specify that Doty, "died as a result of multiple injuries; however, toxicology analysis indicates that Aaron was alive at the time he was set on fire," states a Highlands County Sheriff's Office release.
Doty was reportedly at a party before his murder, but reports also indicate that he was not under the influence of narcotics or illegal drugs. Traces of alcohol, however, were found.
"We spoke to Aaron's family today and, without a doubt, this is heartbreaking news for the family to receive," says Sheriff Susan Benton in the release.
Though a total of five people face charges in relation to Doty's murder, Highlands County officials continue to investigate the case.
Jonathan Ray Rodriquez and Kenneth Edward Felipe, Jr. have been arrested and ultimately charged with the murder. Nicole Hebert, Adrianna Rodriguez and Travis Makris face various charges as well.
