High School Musical performance at local theatre

Sebring, Florida -- Support the local theatre by seeing High School Musical 2!

Starting Thursday, May 23 to Sunday, May 26 Highlands Little Theatre will put on High School Musical 2.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 16 & under.

Highlands Little Theatre will perform the show at Altvater Cultural Complex, 356 West Center Avenue, Sebring.

New summer camps

Sebring, Florida -- Spring break is over and summer is right around the corner.

Discovery Camp is a fun way to enjoy the summer break from school.

The camp is limited to 25 students each week and is run by a certified Highlands County schoolteacher with help from high school volunteers.

Camp is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day for a full week. Some classes include: Art is Everywhere, Museum Pirates, and Time Travelers.

The cost is $75 per student per week.

Save the Date: Block Party in downtown Sebring

Sebring, Florida -- On Friday, March 1, the Downtown Sebring Facebook page annonced the city had a planning meeting for the Friday, March 8 "Downtown Sebring Goes Pop! Block Party.

The City says its going to be a blast for all ages!

The party begins at 5 p.m. and will feature live music, street dance contest, bubble wrap races, popcorn and food vendors as attendees shop, dine and stroll around the historic area.

Highlands County, Florida-- The Highlands County Fair & Livestock Show kicked off Friday!

Organizers say the "affordable, nine-day event showcases [the] County’s agriculture through 4-H and FFA programs."

During the fair visitors can look forward to great food, a variety of shows, entertainment and youth/commercial exhibits, and of course, exciting midway rides!

The fair ends on February 16.
