High School Musical performance at local theatre

Sebring, Florida -- Support the local theatre by seeing High School Musical 2!

Starting Thursday, May 23 to Sunday, May 26 Highlands Little Theatre will put on High School Musical 2. 

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 16 & under. 

Highlands Little Theatre will perform the show at Altvater Cultural Complex, 356 West Center Avenue, Sebring.

On April 23, artist Linda Kegley leads teh class through her "Funky Flowers" painting during this evening class at 6:00 p.m. 

This is a step-by-step painting process that will teache people how to paint a picture while having fun!

Sebring, Florida -- The Sebring Centennial Book is available!

The book can be purchased at the Sebring Historical Society Archives. The archives are open from Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

The book contains approximately 200 vintage photographs provided primarily by the Sebring Historical Society, and is available at the Society Archives for a minimum donation of $20.00

Wauchula, Florida-- Main Street Wauchula presents their "Filming the Fun in Downtown Wauchula" video contest!

According to their website, participants are encouraged to submit a three-to-five minute video of fun events taking place downtown. Pieces could be used as a promotional tool to attract visitors to Wauchula!

Created by the Museum of Florida History, Alligators: Dragons in Paradise is a potpourri of fact and fantasy that explores our enduring fascination with the alligator and the alligator’s symbolic and sociological role in Florida history.

"Wild & Wonderful" Exhibit at MOTA nearing an end

 

Sebring, Florida-- Don't miss your chance to catch the "Wild & Wonderful" exhibit at MOTA! The exhibit will close with the month.

Highlands Art League announces a new exhibit featuring the “Wild & Wonderful” wood-carving and mixed media talents of local artists John Shoop and Beth Johnson.

An array of sea-life themed pieces carved by Shoop, some natural and some wildly painted by partner artist Johnson, will be on display through March.

Admission to the exhibit is free to the public.

Sebring, Florida -- The second Friday of the month Downtown Sebring comes alive.

March 8, Sebring has Destination Downtown Sebring where residents are welcome to walk through historic downtown with its art galleries, boutiques, and vintage stores. There will also be live music. 

The event is free and open to the public and lasts from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
